You know the feeling. The cooker still hums to life, the switch still clicks over faithfully, the heater is still going strong after years of morning rice — but the inner container has taken a beating. Maybe the base has discoloured. Maybe it's dented from one drop too many on the steel sink. Maybe you simply want a second container so you can cook back-to-back without waiting for the first one to cool and be washed.
Replacing a whole appliance because of one worn part is a small, avoidable waste. This genuine replacement stainless steel container for the Panasonic SR-WA3NA (SB) puts your cooker back into full service for a fraction of the cost — and a fraction of the fuss.
The single most important thing about this container is what's happening underneath it.
A sandwich bottom — sometimes called an encapsulated base — bonds a heat-conducting core between layers of stainless steel at the pan's floor. Stainless steel is superb at being hygienic and durable, but on its own it's a fairly poor conductor of heat: leave it unassisted and heat concentrates directly above the heating element, creating a hot ring that scorches whatever sits on it.
The sandwich base solves precisely that. Heat entering the pan is spread laterally across the entire floor before it rises into your food. In everyday kitchen terms:
If your original container was non-stick, this replacement is an upgrade, not a substitute.
Non-stick coatings are consumable by design. Every steel spoon, every scrub, every high-heat cycle wears them a little further. Once a coating begins to flake, the pan is finished — and many families understandably stop trusting it well before that point.
Bare food-grade stainless steel has nothing to lose. It is:
For anyone cooking for an infant, an elderly parent, or someone on a restricted diet, that combination of inert, cleanable and coating-free is not a marketing line. It's the whole reason to choose steel.
This is the section we'd rather over-explain than have you order the wrong thing.
This container is suitable ONLY for the Panasonic SR-WA3NA (SB) rice cooker.
It is not compatible with:
Rice cooker containers are not interchangeable in the way they look like they should be. The thermostat sits directly beneath the pan floor and relies on precise, consistent contact with it to sense when the water has boiled off and switch the cooker to warm. A container with a slightly different base profile, wall angle or rim geometry can seat imperfectly — which means undercooked rice, an appliance that won't cut off, or in the worst case a stressed heater.
How to confirm your model: turn your cooker over. The rating label on the base carries the full model code. You are looking for SR-WA3NA (SB). If it reads anything else, this is not the correct container for your unit — and we'd genuinely rather you asked us first than guessed.
Will this fit my Panasonic 0.3 L cooker? Only if the model code is SR-WA3NA (SB). Panasonic has produced several 0.3 L cookers over the years, including aluminium-pan versions, and the containers are not cross-compatible. Check the base label.
Can I use it on a gas stove or induction hob? This is designed as an inner container for the electric cooker, not as standalone cookware. Please use it only inside the SR-WA3NA (SB).
Is it dishwasher safe? See Verification Notes — dishwasher suitability should be confirmed against the packaging before this claim is published. Handwashing with warm water and dish soap is always safe and takes under a minute.
Does it come with a lid? Box contents for this spare should be confirmed against the physical pack — please see Verification Notes.
Will rice stick to it since it isn't non-stick? With the correct water ratio and the sandwich base doing its job, sticking is minimal. A light film of oil or ghee, or a brief soak after cooking, handles the rest. Many home cooks find they prefer steel precisely because it cleans so easily.
Can I return it if it doesn't fit? No — this is sold as a spare part with no return and no exchange. That's exactly why we've been so emphatic about checking your model number first.
Can I buy this as a spare rather than a replacement? Absolutely, and many people do. A second container means you can cook rice, wash nothing, and immediately start a second batch — very useful during festivals, guests, or a busy weekday morning.
Country of origin: to be confirmed from the product packaging before publishing — see Verification Notes. Panasonic Life Solutions India manufactures a substantial share of its cooker range domestically, but the origin marking on this particular spare must be read from the physical box in line with Indian labelling requirements.
