How does the Glen atta kneader work?
You add atta and water to the 3-litre stainless steel bowl, close and lock the see-through lid, and set the timer knob; the 650 W motor turns the dough blade and kneads the dough hands-free. Glen designs it for everyday Indian doughs, from soft chapati atta to puri and paratha dough, and it handles pizza dough too.
Why a stainless steel bowl?
Stainless steel is easy to wash, doesn't take on stains the way many plastic bowls do, and holds up to daily use. Methi thepla dough, haldi-laced missi roti dough or garlic-naan dough: rinse the bowl and it's ready for tomorrow's chapatis.
Can I watch the dough while it kneads?
Yes. The lid is transparent and locks in place, so you can see the dough come together while flour stays inside. If the dough looks too dry, stop the machine, add a little water and run it again. Close the lid gently until it locks; there is no need to force the latch.
How much atta can it knead at one time?
Glen rates the bowl at 3 litres but does not publish a maximum flour weight per batch. Follow the quantity guide in the user manual and don't fill the bowl to the brim; dough needs room to move around the blade.

Yes. It is built for chapati, roti, puri and paratha dough. Softness depends on the water you add; if the dough looks stiff, stop the machine, add a little water and run it again.
Is the bowl dishwasher safe?
Glen does not publish a dishwasher rating, so wash the stainless steel bowl, blade and lid by hand. Never put the motor base in water.
Does it have speed settings?
Glen lists knob control with a 15-minute timer and does not list multiple speed settings. You set the kneading time and the machine does the rest.
Can it bake bread?
